I think BB is a great coach but there are times where he is reluctant to change something on the fly when he needs to. The game against the hawks last week he was so focused on shutting the Kane line down that it may have cost them the game. Once the Toews line started playing so well he should've switched the Koivu line to shadow the Toews line the rest of the way. Toews hasn't always played great against Koivu as it is. Great coach but he doesn't make changes until it is too late. If he can conquer that habit he will be even better. In all those series that they blew a 3-2 lead it was the Ducks playing well, the other team adjusting to them and figuring out a way to play them, and the ducks never readjusting. You shouldn't expect to win games 6 or 7 the same way you won games 1 or 2 if the other team is playing differently. Quenneville is almost the opposite problem at times switching his lines and matchups too much. Now that the hawks are finding their stride and all four lines are playing well, I think it really does make them the team to beat. They have proven they can go on long runs. The wild have been great this year but until they prove that they are the team to beat when it matters most, its still the Hawks. Same reason that no matter how good the Caps do in the regular season every single year, they are not the team that has proven they can go the distance.

Good read! Coaches learn and change as they go so I am sure BB has some new tricks up his sleeve. The Wild are scary good and I would not be shocked to see them in the finals.

The playoffs are a completely different animal than the regular season.

And, if memory serves, the Blackhawks have eliminated the Wild the last 3 times they've met in the playoffs.

I would be a great series if it comes together, but, just as the Blackhawks had to eventually beat Detroit to get the 2010 Cup, so to the Wild may have to slay the Hawks to get there this year.
